…the blog describing what it's like to be a Jack (or Jill) of all (artistic) trades. Let go, create, live free and cut your cords.
I have a confession…to confess. I made a pact with two brothers on New Year’s Eve night. A pact that since made, has literally altered my train of thought. We decided to do something drastic, but simple. And we decided to do this before my brother-in-law, Ethan, flew out to Africa of all places to work with World Camp in Malawi.
We decided to take control of our wandering minds, switch negative thoughts to positive and to yes, remember the starving children in Africa. Why? Because whatever small or big financial, political, work-related, self-centered drama in anyone’s life is there because we put it there. So let’s all BE VICTIMS OF HAPPINESS, rather than sadness. So smile today – and keep smiling and feeling grateful for every single thing that happens on this day in your life, good or bad, because it’s all good.
On a fashion side note: here’s a sneak peek of some Cut the Cord Vintage pieces that will be for sale soon! (I found a shirt that pays wonderful homage to cookie monster, eighties style, if you can spot it.)
Also, here’s some great finds I got while shopping, cutoffs, a sparkly sweater and low half-boots.
I have a white sweater I found at Goodwill a lot like this, and you have a better idea how to wear it! If ya don’t mind my copying….:) love it
Inspiring people to vamp up an old thrifted sweater makes me more happy than all the money in the world! Send photos! And I’ll keep trying to post new ways to wear old things. (I think I just came up with my next motto!)Big eighties sweaters from goodwill with vintage cutoffs, fun tights and comfy boots is an amazing outfit. I wore this to my knitting group last night at a cute cafe, it was perfect!
Yesss! I love your outfit and of course your cutoffs! :]
I seriously have a million pairs of jeans all cut up around my house right now, Ima be ready.
I think everyone should channel the times when all shorts were previous pairs of pants.
